- National Guards demonstrate their authority when confronted by young American girl, Jan Rose Kasmir, outside the Pentagon during the 1967 anti-Vietnam War march. The march helped to turn public opinion against US involvement throughout Indo-China, showing just how large the tidal wave of anti-war settlement in America was. About two million people took part in activities all over the country, with 250,000 demonstrators filling the streets of Washington DC.
